This is a ten-slide PowerPoint skeleton for competitor research: the question, the answer, five evidence slides, desktop against phone, three moves, and what happens next. Every slide carries a prompt telling you what belongs on it. Add your company and competitor names below, or download it blank. No signup and no email.
What is on the ten slides
One question per deck, the answer up front, then the evidence that backs it. The order is the part that does the work.
- 1The question you set out to answer, in one sentenceThe room knows why it is here before anything else lands
- 2The answer, stated plainlyPeople form a view in the first two minutes, so give it to them
- 3 to 7Five evidence slides: one screenshot each, one takeaway underneathEach slide proves exactly one point, and five is plenty
- 8The same page on desktop and phone, side by sideThe two versions often disagree, and that is quotable
- 9The three moves you recommendThree is memorable, and each one points back at a slide
- 10What happens next: an owner, a date, when to check backTurns a presentation into a decision
A final slide credits Stravue in one line. Delete it if you would rather not keep it.
How to fill it in
The structure is the quick half. The screenshots are the work: every page has to be captured full length, on desktop and phone, with the cookie banner and the chat bubble out of the shot. That is where the hours go, so leave time for it.
- 1Write slide 2 first. If the answer will not fit on one line, the question is too big.
- 2Pick five pages that each prove one point: the homepage, pricing, the main product page, the signup flow, and the proof they show.
- 3Capture each page and drop it on its slide. Full length, desktop and phone.
- 4Write the takeaway line before moving on. If it will not write, cut the slide.
- 5Fill slide 10 in during the meeting, not after it.
The reasoning behind the order is in the guide on how to present competitor research. For choosing which pages are worth studying in the first place, read the competitor teardown guide.
