Acceptable Use Policy

Stravue captures public web pages. To keep it honest and above board, here is what you may and may not do with it. Breaking these rules can get your account suspended.

What Stravue is built to do

Stravue captures the parts of a website that anyone could see by visiting it. By design it stops before signing in, submitting a form, paying, or anything behind a login. It does not defeat security checks or access gated content.

You may

• Capture your own websites and pages.
• Capture publicly accessible pages of other sites, including competitors, for research, comparison and presentation.

You may not use Stravue to

• Access private, gated or logged-in areas you are not authorised to reach, or try to get around security, paywalls or bot protection.
• Break any law, or infringe anyone’s rights.
• Harvest personal data, or capture sites in order to harass, defraud or harm anyone.
• Overload a website, or run captures at a volume or rate designed to disrupt it.
• Misrepresent what Stravue produces, for example passing off another site’s pages or content as your own.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to capture a given site and for how you use what you capture. If you are unsure whether a use is allowed, it probably is not.

Enforcement

We may suspend or close accounts that break this policy, and we may decline to capture certain sites. Questions? Email support@stravue.com.
